Watercolor Pet Portraits

Learn to paint a beautiful watercolor portrait of your favorite pet in this class led by Anne Kupillas! Anne will guide you through the steps to turn your furry friend into a wonderful piece of art. All materials will be provided, and all skill levels are welcome.

What You Will Need:

  • A crisp color photo of your pet, printed on copy paper, to fit an 8×10” frame size. 

  • Email the photo you would like to use to Anne, for review and editing: [email protected]

 

What is Provided:

  • Tracing paper

  • Watercolor paper

  • Watercolor paints

  • Brushes

  • Pencils

  • Erasers

Note: If you already have watercolor paints and brushes you enjoy using, feel free to bring them to class. If you are considering bringing your own paper, it should be cold pressed, 140 lbs or higher, with little “tooth” or surface texture. Anne recommends Canson 140 lb cold pressed (9x12 pad with turquoise blue cover).

 

Meet Your Instructor

Anne’s love of art began as a child growing up on Long Island, New York, in a family of artists and musicians who encouraged her creativity. Anne Kupillas is an experienced Art Teacher.  She has a warm and friendly way that she guides all levels of artists to express their creativity.
