This year’s event will feature a delicious kosher dinner, special treats, and a compelling speaker. A resident of northern California, Dashka Slater was raised in a Jewish family and is the award-winning author of The 57 Bus, as well as several other books for kids and teens. She will join us to offer her perspectives on life and why and how we find ways to fit in.

In recent years, Visions honored one woman from each of our local synagogues and community organizations. Having emerged from the uncertainty and restrictions of the pandemic, it is appropriate that this year we will celebrate ALL women in our community and acknowledge our resilience, strength, perseverance, and collective commitment to improving the world.

Visions Co-Chairs: Danielle Van Divort and Ami Guy

Tickets: $65/person
Guests will have an opportunity to make their pledge to the 2023 Jewish Long Beach Annual Campaign. Stay tuned for additional details and electronic invitations

Your Support is Vital

When you donate to Jewish Long Beach & Alpert JCC, you are changing lives. Your gift will provide support in three critical areas:

  • Programs that improve people’s lives Jewishly, with a focus on ECE, Youth & Family Engagement, Senior Wellness and Jewish Life & Culture.
  • Community building, Jewish advocacy, and leadership development, through partnerships with local Jewish and other community agencies to foster collaboration, empower community leaders, inspire the next generation, and build bridges of understanding.
  • Philanthropy that provides support for local Jewish organizations and Jewish communal needs locally, nationally, in Israel and around the world

At the event, we will be collecting items for Women's Philanthropy's Dignity Project, supporting Long Beach Unified School District students in need!

The dinner provided is Kosher, and for any dietary questions, please email us at info@jewishlongbeach.org
